AAA Honors Redding Police For Traffic Safety Achievements

AAA Northeast recently honored the Redding Police Department with a Silver Award for the department’s traffic safety programs that include targeted enforcement of distracted driving; an active child passenger safety program; and extensive use of social media to reach out to Redding residents and motorists about traffic safety issues. In addition, AAA recognized Officers Michael Livingston and Jenna Matthews and department-nominated Traffic Safety Heroes for their work in motor vehicle enforcement and DUI arrests and traffic stops. Both officers have led the department in such stops in 2015 and their combined efforts helped reduce traffic crashes through enforcement and education.
