The Redding Community Center opened in August of 2002 and is a valuable resource for the town. The building houses the Heritage Center for Seniors, Park and Recreation offices, a large and a small shared program space and a gymnasium. On the property there are three ball fields which are used by the town’s youth and adult sports groups. There are also four tennis courts on site and the property adjoins the elementary school playground which is available after school hours.
The Community Center gym is also used for many organized youth sports group, Park and Recreation after school classes and there are several drop in open gym times organized for various age groups.
Based on availability, the building is open to individuals or groups for rental. Community groups wishing to take advantage of the community center for meetings or functions should contact Rob Blick for more information about rate and availability at 938-2551.
