Mark your calendar! On Saturday, Nov. 19 at 11:30 am, come learn about the new Organics Composting Drop-Off program that will be a feature at the Town’s Recycling Center. Housatonic Resources Recovery Authority (HRRA) will be there to explain the program and answer questions. Redding Recycling will distribute composting kits, once you are signed up.

Separating organic materials from the trash should be thought of as a resource, not a waste. More food reaches landfills and incinerators than any other single material in our everyday trash. Compost added to gardens, construction sites, and poor soils makes great things happen!
