Dog LicensesGerman Shepherds

Pursuant to CT General Statute Sec. 22-338, all dogs over the age of 6 months must be licensed by the Town Clerk annually on or before June 30th for the period of July 1st through June 30th.  Licenses will not be issued without proof of current rabies vaccination on file. The rabies expiration date can be found on the paper license issued last year.  If you cannot locate it, please email or call 203-938-2377 (Ext. 2) to verify what is on file for your dog. We do not need to see updated rabies or spay/neuter information if we already have it on file.

The license fee for a neutered/spayed dog is $8.00; the fee for an unaltered dog is $19.00.  A $1.00 late fee per month will be assessed after July 1, 2023.

New Dogs:  When licensing a dog for the first time, please provide proof that the dog has been neutered or spayed, as well as a valid rabies certificate. Click here for Dog License Application.  First time registration cannot be done online.
