Information re voting at the November 3, 2020 Election

We have received many phone calls and emails over the last few days concerning voting at the November 3, 2020 election.  Please subscribe to News and Announcements on our town website for updates on voting.

For the November 3, 2020 Election, an elector can vote either in person at the polls from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Election Day, or by absentee ballot.

The Secretary of the State (SOTS) will be sending applications for absentee ballots to all registered voters the first two weeks in September.  Completed applications* should be delivered to my office as soon as possible, either by dropping off in the ballot box located on the porch of Town Hall (facing parking lot) or by mailing to Town Clerk, P.O. Box 1028, Redding Center, CT 06875.  Ballots will be mailed by my office starting Friday, October 2, 2020 or issued in person by appointment only starting Monday, October 5, 2020.  Please note – you do not have to vote by absentee ballot.  The polls will be open on Election Day for in person voting and the Registrars of Voters will provide a socially-distanced and sanitized polling place at the Redding Community Center.

*If you have already filed an Application for Absentee Ballot with my office for the November 3, 2020 election, you do not need to complete the application sent to you by SOTS.  To confirm we received your application, please email us at
