Minutes of the Board of Ethics Meeting (filed subject to approval)
Held December 11, 2017

A meeting of the members of the Board of Ethics for the Town of Redding, CT (the “Board”) was held at Redding Town Hall, 100 Hill Road, Redding, CT 06896 on Monday, December 11, 2017 at 7:30 p.m. Chairman David M. Lewson called the meeting to order at 7:34 pm.

The following members were present:

David M. Lewson (Chair)
Andrew Carman (Secretary)
Joan DeSalvo
Richard L. Emerson.

David Anderson was absent. The Alternate Member position is currently vacant.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES: The minutes of the meeting on September 11, 2017, upon motion made by Richard L. Emerson and seconded by Joan DeSalvo, were approved unanimously.

UPDATE ON BOARD MEMBERSHIP: It was noted that Richard L. Emerson is now a full time member of the Board and that the Alternate Member vacancy would be soon identified and filled by the Town of Redding Selectmen. It was also noted that the Ethics Board consists of five (5) fulltime Members and one (1) Alternate Member.

ELECTION OF OFFICERS: Upon motion by Richard L. Emerson and seconded by Joan DeSalvo, the following Board of Ethics Officer slate was put forth and approved unanimously for the next year: David M. Lewson, Chairman of the Board, Richard L. Emerson, Vice Chairman of the Board and Andrew Carman, Secretary of the Board.

SET MEETING DATES AND TIMES FOR 2018: Upon motion by Andrew Carman and seconded by Joan DeSalvo, the following dates and times for 2018 were approved unanimously:

March 12, 2018 – 7:30 PM
September 17, 2018 – 7:30 PM
December 10, 2018 – 7:30 PM

NEW BUSINESS: There was no new business submitted to the Board or raised by any member of the Board.

ADJOURNMENT: As there was no further business, meeting adjourned at 7:41 pm. The next meeting will be Monday, March 12, 2018 at 7:30 pm.
