The meeting was called to order at 4:00 p.m.
The purpose of the meeting was to hear appeals of property assessments for the 2012 Grand List.

The Board heard the following seven appeals:

100 Redding Road
Total Assessment $78,750,000
Appellants Opinion of Fair Market Value on October 1, 2012 84,000,000
Agent, Lisa Kinsella, states that the assessed value is too high and claims the current market value is approximately $84 million; requesting methodology used for calculating the assessed value. Attorney representation for the Town of Redding, Tiffany Spinella, from Pullman & Comley, along with Kirsten Telhiard from DelVecchio Reporting Services, were also present.

219 Black Rock Turnpike
Total Assessment 235,200
Appellants Opinion of Fair Market Value on October 1, 2012 290,000
Appellant furnished documentation of an appraisal of the property and values of comparable homes in the area.

485 Black Rock Turnpike
Total Assessment 227,800
Appellants Opinion of Fair Market Value on October 1, 2012 299,000
Appellant believes that the value of his home is not comparable to others in the area and furnished documentation of comparable homes to the Board.

35 Beeholm Road

Appellants Opinion of Fair Market Value on October 1, 2012 1,280
Appellant states that his consulting business did not have any activity in 2012 due to serious medical issues. He provided a list of the gross value of office equipment and indicated that the consulting business is in the process of dissolution.
64 Drummer Lane

Appellants Opinion of Fair Market Value on October 1, 2012 430,000
Appellant believes that the value of his home is not comparable to others in the area and furnished documentation of a comparable home to the Board; the 900 sq ft basement is unfinished.
84 Cross Highway
Total Assessment 676,900
Appellants Opinion of Fair Market Value on October 1, 2012 1,199,000
Appellant states that there was a decrease in the square footage noted on the home during the recent revaluation by approximately 700 sq ft. The Board will do a site visit on Saturday, March 9, 2013 at 2:15 p.m.
9 Dan Beard Lane
Total Assessment 682,300
Appellants Opinion of Fair Market Value on October 1, 2012 840,000
Appellant believes that the assessment of the property is too high and provided information of comparable homes in the area.
The Board will hear thirty scheduled appeals and deliberate on Saturday, March 9, 2013 at 9:00 a.m., Monday, March 11, 2013 at 4:00 p.m., and Thursday, March 14, 2013 at 4:00 p.m.

A motion to adjourn was made, seconded and carried unanimously at 5:47 p.m.
