The meeting was called to order at 9:00 a.m.
The Board members discussed changing the process for filing applications for motor vehicle appeals from an open walk-in session to an appointment only basis. Ms. Perlman will discuss with counsel and report back to the Board in February 2016.
There were three applications for appeals heard:
MV15-01:
Bart Cerasuolo, 155 Redding Rd, Redding:
2010 Acura RDX, assessed value $15,650
MV15-02:
Rebecca Parkin, 19 Indian Hill Rd, Redding:
2008 Scion XB, assessed value $6,740
MV15-03:
Christopher Parkin, 19 Indian Hill Rd, Redding:
2010 Ford Flex, assessed value $14,820
The Board went into deliberative session at 11:20 a.m.
MOTIONS:
MV15-01:
2010 Acura RDX, assessed value $15,650
Upon motion of Mr. Stackpole and second of Ms. Perlman, the Board voted unanimously to reduce the assessment to $12,530.
MV15-02:
2008 Scion XB, assessed value $6,740
Upon motion of Mr. Stackpole and second of Ms. Furrer, the Board voted unanimously to reduce the assessment to $6,070.
MV15-03:
2010 Ford Flex, assessed value $14,820
Upon motion of Mr. Stackpole and second of Ms. Perlman, the Board voted unanimously to reduce the assessment to $14,210.
The Board exited deliberative session at 11:30 a.m.
The Board set the tentative date of the preliminary Real Estate Assessment Meeting for the Grand List of October 1, 2015 for Monday, February 22, 2016 at 4:00 p.m.
Meeting dates for subsequent hearings were tentatively scheduled for:
Saturday, March 5, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm
Monday, March 7, 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm
Thursday, March 10, 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm
Saturday, March 12, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm
Monday, March 14, 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm
A motion to adjourn was made, seconded and carried unanimously at 12:00 p.m.
