Thursday, September 19, 2019 – 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
TOWN HALL HEARING ROOM

Present:

The meeting was called to order at 4:22 p.m.

There were five applications for appeals heard:

MV19-01:
John R. Sarich Jr., 53 Old Stagecoach Rd, Redding:
2008 Saab 97x, assessed value $4,590

MV19-02:
Mark Turoff, 419 Newtown Turnpike, Redding:
2004 Ford F150, assessed value $5,150

MV19-03:
Ritush Venugopal, 173 Picketts Ridge Road, Redding:
2012 Jeep Wrangler, assessed value $16,490

MV19-04:
Deborah McCarthy, 1 Parsons Lane, Redding:
2002 Toyota Rav4, assessed value $3,200

MV19-05:
Michael Ungerer, 11 Limekiln Road, Redding:
2014 Jeep Cherokee, assessed value $13,180

The Board went into deliberative session at 5:56 p.m.

MOTIONS:
MV19-01:
2008 Saab 97x, assessed value $4,590
Upon motion of Mr. Bachmann and second of Mr. Stackpole, the Board voted unanimously that no change be made to the assessment.

MV19-02:
2004 Ford F150, assessed value $5,150
Upon motion of Mr. Stackpole and second of Mr. Miller, the Board voted unanimously to reduce the assessment to $4,100 due to high mileage.

MV19-03:
2012 Jeep Wrangler, assessed value $16,490
Upon motion of Mr. Stackpole and second of Mr. Miller, the Board voted unanimously to reduce the assessment to $14,860 due to high mileage.

MV19-04:
2002 Toyota Rav4, assessed value $3,200
Upon motion of Mr. Bachmann and second of Mr. Miller, the Board voted unanimously to reduce the assessment to $2,900 due to high mileage.

MV19-05:
2014 Jeep Cherokee, assessed value $13,180
Upon motion of Mr. Stackpole and second of Mr. Miller, the Board voted unanimously to reduce the assessment to $12,215 due to high mileage.

The Board exited deliberative session at 7:08 p.m.

The Board set the tentative date of the preliminary Real Estate Assessment Meeting for the Grand List of October 1, 2019 for Thursday, February 20, 2020 at 4:30 p.m.

Meeting dates for subsequent hearings were tentatively scheduled for March 2020:
Monday, March 9, 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm
Thursday, March 12, 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm
Saturday, March 14, 9:00 am to 12:00 pm
Monday, March 16, 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm
Thursday, March 19, 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm

The session adjourned at 7:11 p.m.
