MINUTES
Tuesday, September 21, 2021 – 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
TOWN HALL HEARING ROOM
Present: Greg Stackpole, Chairman; Karen Gifford; Margi Esten; Charles Bachmann, Alternate; Sharon Hoverman, Alternate
The meeting was called to order at 4:30 p.m.
There were three applications for appeals heard:
MV21-01:
Kathy Kim, 25 Old Mill Rd #5, Redding:
2013 Lexus IS 250, assessed value $10,240
MV21-02:
David Markowitz, 25 Old Mill Rd #5, Redding:
2014 Honda Civic LX, assessed value $7,470
MV21-03:
Alice McNulty, 76 Peaceable St, Redding:
2014 Audi S6, assessed value $20,650
The Board went into deliberative session at 6:05 p.m.
MOTIONS:
MV21-03: 2014 Audi S6, assessed value $20,650
Upon motion of Ms. Gifford and second of Ms. Esten, the Board voted unanimously to reduce the assessment by $2,205 to $18,445 due to high mileage.
MV21-02: 2014 Honda Civic LX, assessed value $7,470
Upon motion of Mr. Bachmann and second of Ms. Gifford, the Board voted unanimously that no change be made to the assessment.
MV21-01: 2013 Lexus IS 250, assessed value $10,240
Upon motion of Mr. Stackpole and second of Ms. Gifford, the Board voted unanimously that no change be made to the assessment.
The Board exited deliberative session at 6:24 p.m.
The Board set the tentative date of the preliminary Real Estate Assessment Meeting for the Grand List of October 1, 2021 for Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at 4:30 p.m.
Meeting dates for subsequent hearings were tentatively scheduled for March 2022:
Monday, March 7, 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm
Thursday, March 10, 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm
Saturday, March 12, 9:00 am to 12:00 pm
Monday, March 14, 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm
Thursday, March 17, 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm
The session adjourned at 6:30 p.m.
