The meeting was called to order at 4:28 pm.
The purpose of the meeting was to review appeals applications for real estate and personal property from the Grand List of October 1, 2021.
Three appeals were received, and hearings and deliberations will be scheduled for:
Monday, March 7, 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm
Of the three appeals, two are residential real estate and one commercial property.
Hearing appointments will be given 15-minute time slots. Only appeal applications received by the deadline of February 22, 2022, are eligible for hearing.
Other business: Greg Stackpole advised there will be an increase in motor vehicle values on used vehicles which will impact the September motor vehicle appeals session. As such, an updated Q&A should be posted to the Town website in July and notices should be included with tax bills that indicate the data is from the values in the NADA guides (to be coordinated with the Assessor’s and Tax Collector’s offices). Consideration of assessment appeals would be given to vehicles with excessive mileage or damage.
The Board voted unanimously to adjourn at 4:49 pm.
