Also present: Also present: First Selectmen Ketcham, Selectman Pemberton, Selectman Takacs, Treasurer O’Donnell, Tax Collector Moisio, Town Clerk Grande, Highway Superintendent Hansen, Park & Recreation Director Blick, eight members of the public and a representative of the Redding Pilot.
Chairman Alvarez called the Special Meeting on September 23, 2013 meeting to order at 7:28 pm.
APPOINTMENT OF INTERIM MEMBER TO THE BOARD OF FINANCE
Chairman Alvarez reported that Rand Guffey is not running for re-election in November and has resigned at this time. The Board of Finance thanked Mr. Guffey for his service to the Town of Redding. Susan Clark, the candidate for that position in November, has been recommended by the Republican Town Committee for appointment as interim member of the Board of Finance.
Motion: move that the Redding Board of Finance appoint Susan Clark as interim member of the Board of Finance. Mazzucco, DeSalvo. Approved. Unanimous.
Town Clerk Michele Grande administered the oath of office and Ms. Clark was seated with the Board of Finance.
ADJOURNMENT
Motion: move that the Redding Board of Finance meeting be adjourned. Mazzucco, DeSalvo. Approved. Unanimous.
