Board of Selectmen Meeting
Monday, October 16, 2017
7:30 p.m., Town Hall Hearing Room

MINUTES

Present: Julia Pemberton, First Selectman; Peg O’Donnell, Michael Thompson.

Also present: Jeff Hanson, Dir. of Public Works; reporter; videographers.

1. Call to Order

Julia Pemberton called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m.

2. Presentation and Discussion of Road Reconstruction Plan Phase III

Jeff Hanson, Dir. of Public Works, submitted and reviewed the results of the Road Reconstruction Phase III plan in addition to the status of the current 4-year plan. Due to an overage of funds in his budget, Mr. Hanson stated that the current plan is changing to a 5-year plan.

Mr. Hanson noted that he works with the schools directly to minimize disruption noting that it is not possible for all road work to be done in July and August.

The need for paving preservation and maintenance was reviewed.

The Board will review the submitted packets for discussion during the upcoming budget season.

3. Appointment: Re-appoint Joanne Perlman to Board of Assessment Appeals

On the motion of P. O’Donnell and the second of M. Thompson, the Board voted unanimously to re-appoint Joanne Perlman to the Board of Assessment Appeals.

4. Public Comment

No items.

5. Board Member Comment

Michael Thompson noted the League of Women Voters is hosting Municipal Candidates Debates on 10/17/17 from 7:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m.

6. Adjournment

On the motion of M. Thompson and the second of P. O’Donnell, the Board voted unanimously to adjourn the meeting at 7:54 p.m.
