Special Board of Selectmen Meeting

Present: Michael Thompson, Margaret O’Donnell, Julia Pemberton, an estimated 100 members of the Public, Town Counsel Michael Lavelle, Attorney Adam Cohen, 2 videographers
First Selectman Julia Pemberton called the special meeting of the Board of Selectmen to order at 7:30pm
- Forum on the Gilbert and Bennett Foreclosure Action.
The First Selectman gave a presentation to the public on the current status of the Town’s foreclosure action against Georgetown Land Development Corp, LLC on the Gilbert and Bennett Wire Mill site. After the presentation, the First Selectmen took questions from the assembled members of the public.
2. Public Comment
Following the presentation, members of the public were invited to comment and ask questions and a lengthy discussion took place.
3. Board Member Comment
Selectmen Michael Thompson and Margaret O’Donnell each commented on the ongoing efforts to work towards a solution to the Gilbert and Bennett issue.
4. Motion: Move that the Redding Board of Selectmen special meeting be adjourned. Thompson, O’Donnell. Approved. Unanimous.
The meeting adjourned at 9:40pm
