Board of Selectman Special Meeting
March 26, 2018
Town Hall
The meeting was called to order at 10:17pm in the Town Hall Conference Room
Present: Peg O’Donnell, Julia Pemberton. Public: Chris Parkin.
On the motion of Peg O’Donnell and Julia Pemberton, passed unanimously, the Board of Selectmen voted unanimously to schedule the Annual Town Meeting for Thursday, April 19, 2019 at 3:00 PM in the Town Hall Hearing Room.
On the motion of Peg O’Donnell and second of Julia Pemberton, passed unanimously, the Board of Selectmen voted to send the 2018-2019 budget to a machine vote and send a letter to the town clerk of this intent.
On the motion of Peg O’Donnell and second of Julia Pemberton, passed unanimously, the Board appointed Jeff Hanson as the First Selectman’s representative to the Housatonic Resources Recovery Authority.
The Selectmen discussed a request from a resident of Pocahontas Road to pave the dirt portion of the Road. The Selectman voted to refer the matter to the Planning Commission for review per the statutes governing the role of the planning commissions. The matter will then come back to the Selectmen for further discussion and possible action. Peg O’Donnell, Julia Pemberton. Passed. Unanimous.
Other Business:
On the motion of Peg O’Donnell and second of Julia Pemberton, passed unanimously, the Board of Selectmen voted to reappoint Andy Carman to the Board of Ethics.
There was no public comment.
