The Chairman called the meeting to order at 7:33 p.m.
I. APPROVAL OF MINUTES – Meeting of May 2, 2017;
Site Inspection Minutes 5/7/17-354 Black Rock Tpke., Mr./Mrs. Noel Cooke
On the motion of W. Perlman and the second of T. Miller, the Commission voted unanimously to approve the 5/2/17 Meeting Minutes.
On the motion of W. Hill and the second of W. Perlman, the Commission voted unanimously to approve the 5/7/17 Site Walk Minutes.
II. REGULATORY
Application #17-04, Noel and Liza Cooke, 354 Black Rock Turnpike. Received 5/2/17. Discussion and possible vote on an application for partial demolition of existing single family home, excavation for basement and construction of 1600 sq. ft. addition within the regulated area. Site Walk 5/7/17.
Mr. Cooke was present. D. Pattee noted receipt of a new drawing inclusive of the stockpile and silt fence locations.
On the motion of W. Perlman and the second of W. Hill, the Commission voted unanimously to approve Application #17-04.
III. CHAIRMAN’S REPORT
Meadow Ridge maintenance department has requested permission to remove invasive growth in the open space easement using goats. D. Pattee reported that per his review of the easement, the open space easement is under the purview of the Zoning Commission.
CT Forest & Park Association has posted notice of the Trails Day hike at Topstone Park on 6/3/17.
The Zoning Commission has granted a one-time approval of an organized event, The Redding Hive, at Topstone Park.
Tina Miller reported on the Redding Garden Club Annual Plant Sale.
A reminder will be sent out re: 6/4/17 trail dedication to Jere and Jane Ross.
Susan Robinson reported that CT DEEP is revamping the Department’s Natural Diversity Database.
On the motion of T. Miller and the second of W. Perlman, the Commission voted unanimously to adjourn the meeting at 8:05 p.m.
