MINUTES

Tuesday, June 20, 2017
7:30 p.m. – Old Town House

Present: David Pattee, Chairman; William Hill; Stuart Green; Susan Robinson; Wallace Perlman.
Absent: Tina Miller

The Chairman called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m.

I. APPROVAL OF MINUTES – -Meeting of 6/6/17
-Site Walk 6/12/17-46 Blueberry Hill Rd., P. Soos
On the motion of W. Perlman and the second of S. Robinson, the Commission voted unanimously to approve the 6/6/17 Meeting Minutes.
On the motion of W. Perlman and the second of S. Green, the Commission voted to approve the 6/12/17 Site Walk Minutes. W. Hill abstained.

II. REGULATORY
Application #17-05, Peter Soos, 46 Blueberry Hill Road. Received 6/6/17. Discussion and possible vote on an application to demolish and rebuild existing house to include new addition, new deck, new front porch, and to relocate well and septic within the regulated area. Site Walk 6/12/17.
Mr. Soos and his consultant Mr. Hall were present. Site Walk findings were reviewed. D. Pattee noted receipt of a new drawing submitted at the Site Walk.
On the motion of W. Perlman and the second of S. Robinson, the Commission voted unanimously to approve Application #17-05.

Application #17-06, Christopher and Marlene Kopec, 49 Deacon Abbott Road. To receive and discuss an application for new pool decking, landscaping and associated improvement within the regulated area.
Marlene Kopec and W. Pollack from Keith Simpson Associates were present. Site plans were displayed and reviewed.
A Site Walk is scheduled for Fri., 6/23/17 at 5:30 p.m.

Application #17-07, Aquarion Water Company
, 425 Redding Road. To receive and discuss an application for a new septic system within the regulated area.
Mark Tice from Tice Brothers was present as the installer of the proposed new septic system. The proposal was reviewed and a Site Walk is scheduled for Fri., 6/23/17 at 6:00 p.m. D. Pattee requested placement of stakes at the ends of the proposed septic location.

Sean McNamara, representing the Land Trust. Present a draft Land Management Plan for 18 Hill Road.
Discussion tabled.

III. CHAIRMAN’S REPORT
Susan Robinson walked the Biehn property and is compiling a preliminary report for the DEEP biological database.
A third Public Hearing meeting is scheduled in Ridgefield re: proposed ball fields.
An email was sent to D. Pattee re: metal detector use at Saugatuck Falls. Discussion will continue re: possible amendment to the Open Space Ordinance.
John Hayes has contacted D. Pattee re: Open Space Plan for the 2018 Town Plan of Conservation & Development.
A portion of the Norwalk River Valley Trail on Fire Hill Road is being re-blazed.
Susan Robinson is securing mulch for Gilbert-Miller Park and will contact Commissioners to help with spreading.
An invoice will be processed for this fiscal year for work on the field at Highstead.
On the motion of W. Perlman and the second of W. Hill, the Commission voted unanimously to adjourn the meeting at 8:30 p.m.
