MINUTES
Tuesday, February 20, 2018
7:30 p.m. – Old Town House
Present: David Pattee, Chairman; William Hill; Stuart Green; Susan Robinson; Wallace Perlman.
Absent: Tina Miller

The Chairman called the meeting to order at 7:32 p.m.

I. APPROVAL OF MINUTES -Meeting of February 6, 2018
Site Inspection 2/7/18, M/M G. Visnyei, 50 Wagon Wheel Rd.

On the motion of W. Perlman and the second of S. Green, the Commission voted unanimously to approve the 2/6/18 Meeting Minutes.

On the motion of W. Perlman and the second of W. Hill, the Commission voted unanimously to approve the 2/7/18 Site Inspection Minutes.

II. REGULATORY
Application #18-02, George and Ellen Visnyei, 50 Wagon Wheel Road (owners), The Huntington Co. LLC, Michael Buturla (agent). To receive and discuss an application to install an in-ground swimming pool and patio within the regulated area. Site Walk 2/17/18.

Mrs. Visnyei were present. Site Walk findings were reviewed.

Susan Robinson noted her concern re: proposed location for pool equipment. Mrs. Visnyei stated that a stone trench is behind the shed and could accommodate the equipment. D. Pattee stated that the location behind the sheds is identified as wetlands.

Mrs. Visnyei will check with Aimee Pardee at Zoning re: putting pool equipment on the west side of the shed. D. Pattee requested that the equipment location be identified preferably out of the wetlands. The location should be added to the drawings and submitted for discussion at the next meeting, March 6.

Discussion of the Town of Redding Open Space Plan 2018.
The Commission reviewed the Recommendations section. Discussion will continue at the next meeting.

III. CHAIRMAN’S REPORT
D. Pattee stated that per John McLeran, the bear survey is complete. The Commission would like either a verbal or written report.

Commissioners discussed having trail tenders report big trees for inclusion in a tree survey.

Susan Robinson reported that the Frog Frolic 4/28/18. Ms. Robinson is seeking suggestions for family friendly wetland type environments to encourage outside exploration. D. Pattee suggested Saugatuck Falls Natural Area.

S. Green reported that the Garden Club Plant Sale is scheduled for 5/12/18, 9:00 am-1:00 p.m. Volunteers are needed for the Commission table.
