MINUTES
Tuesday, March 20, 2018
7:30 p.m. – Old Town House

Present: David Pattee, Chairman; William Hill; Tina Miller; Susan Robinson; Wallace Perlman.
Absent: Stuart Green

The Chairman called the meeting to order at 7:32 p.m.

I.    APPROVAL OF MINUTES           -Meeting of February 20, 2018
Site Inspection Minutes 3/12/18-129 Peaceable St., Mr./Mrs. Bergeron
On the motion of W. Perlman and the second of S. Robinson, the Commission voted to approve the 2/20/18 Meeting Minutes. W. Hill abstained.
On the motion of W. Perlman and the second of T. Miller, the Commission voted to approve the 3/12/18 Site Inspection Minutes. W. Hill abstained.

II.    REGULATORY
Application #18-03, Dan and Michele Bergeron (owners), John Palazzo (agent), 129 Peaceable Street. Received 3/6/18. Discussion and possible vote on an application to install a new septic system and shed within the regulated area. Site Walk 3/12/18.
John Palazzo was present for the applicant.  Site Walk findings were reviewed.
On the motion of W. Perlman and the second of S. Robinson, the Commission voted unanimously to approve Application #18-03.

Discussion of the Town of Redding Open Space Plan 2018.
The Commission continued the ongoing review of the Open Space Plan. Emma Borjigin-Wang attended via Facetime.
Discussion will continue at the next meeting.

III.   CHAIRMAN’S REPORT
D. Pattee stated that the Hill Road management plan will resume following completion of the Open Space Plan.
D. Pattee reported on a meeting last week with A. Pardee and CDM re: GIS and the status of incomplete records.  John Ford was informed that the missing information will be corrected and updated.  Initial exploration into CAI Technologies in New Hampshire as an alternative GIS supplier has begun.
Dr. Claudia Gruss has completed her archaeological field work.  The Commission discussed options for preserving and displaying the artifacts.
Susan Robinson reported on the public relations efforts for the Frog Frolic and questioned if the Commission would like to co-sponsor an amphibian nature walk at Topstone along with CT Botanical Society.  The Commission agreed to co-sponsor the event scheduled for April 14.
The Trails Day hike is scheduled for June 2 beginning at 8:45 a.m. The hike will include Saugatuck Falls Natural Area and Stormfield.

On the motion of T. Miller and the second of W. Perlman, the Commission voted unanimously to adjourn the meeting at 9:10 p.m.
