The Chairman called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m.
I. APPROVAL OF MINUTES – Minutes of May 6, 2014

On the motion of T. Miller and the second of W. Perlman, the Commission voted to approve the 5/6/14 Minutes as corrected: Page 2, last line, change “T. Miler” to “T. Miller”. J. Beres and S. Green abstained.
On the motion of S. Green and the second of J. Ross, the Commission voted unanimously to approve the 5/12/14 Site Walk Minutes as corrected: 21 Redding Road, change “Gilbert-Miller” to “Gilbert & Bennett Brook.”
Application #14-04, Victoria M. Carmella (owner), Frank Marini (agent), 415 Rock House Road. To receive and discuss an application for construction of a house, driveway, well, septic system and installation of a retention system. Site Walk 5/12/14.
Ms. Carmella and Mr. Marini were present. Site Walk findings were reviewed.
On the motion of W. Perlman and the second of J. Beres, the Commission voted unanimously to refund the application fee as no permit is required.
S. Green noted that he was not a part of the previous application and his views reflect information from this application only.
Application #14-05, Frank Doelger III and Bruce Harmon (owners), John F. McCoy P.E. (agent), 216 Poverty Hollow Road. To receive and discuss an application to develop a single-family lot which will include replacement of all existing structures, pool, driveway and septic system with a new residence, accessory garage, driveway, and septic system within the regulated area. Site Walk 5/12/14.
John McCoy and builder John Desmond were present for the applicant. Mr. McCoy submitted and reviewed a new drawing. Site Walk findings and A. Pardee’s comments re: buffer were reviewed.
On the motion of W. Perlman and the second of J. Ross, the Commission voted unanimously to approve Application #14-05.
Application #14-06, Eric Einstein, President c/o Georgetown Business & Professional Association (owner), Brian Murphy c/o Murphy Bros. Landscaping, LLC (agent), 73 Redding Road, Georgetown. To receive and discuss an application for earth-disturbing activities associated with a utility (water) installation which is within 100 feet of a watercourse and/or wetland area.
No one was present for the applicant. Site Walk findings were reviewed.
On the motion of S. Green and the second of W. Perlman, the Commission voted unanimously to approve Application #14-06.
Application/Violation #12-02V, Ms. Pamela Davis (owner), Peter Davis (agent), 724 Redding Road. Earthmoving and disposition of woodchips, split wood, cut logs and branches in and around wetland soils to establish property line (border) from wetlands.
Mr. Davis was not in attendance. Required information re: planting plan has not been received. A letter will be sent to Mr. Davis.
III. CHAIRMAN’S REPORT
D. Pattee reported that the Commission is represented by signature on a letter to the House of Representatives re: protection of wetlands.
D. Pattee is attending Section II of DEEP training on 6/13/14.
J. Ross reviewed culvert status on Cross Highway and Little River.
Trail’s Day is scheduled for 6/7/14.
Reported ATV use on Land Trust property was discussed.
Status of grant for Biehn property was reviewed.
D. Pattee reviewed a request by J. McLeran re: sign for bird watching at Saugatuck River Natural Area.
On the motion of T. Miller and the second of W. Perlman, the Commission voted unanimously to adjourn the meeting at 9:30 p.m.
