Present via video: David Pattee, Chairman; William Hill; Stuart Green; Claire Matzke; Tina Miller; Wallace Perlman.
Absent: Susan Robinson
Also present: Aimee Pardee, Land Use Director

The Chairman called the meeting to order at 7:31 p.m.

I. APPROVAL OF MINUTESMeeting of 1/5/21

On the motion of W. Perlman and the second of T. Miller, the Commission voted unanimously to approve the 1/15/21 Meeting Minutes as amended: Page 2, second line, change “Turkington Falls loop to Dan Beard Trail” to “Turkington Falls link to Dan Beard Trail.’; Page 2, second paragraph, change to “A trail connection following Old Mailcoach Road from Mary Anne Guitar Preserve to the Saugatuck Trail was reviewed. Discussion will continue.”

On the motion of W. Perlman and the second of C. Matzke, the Commission voted unanimously to approve the 1/9/21 Site Walk Minutes.


Application #20-15, Colin Corrigan (owner), James Lashar (agent), 42 Picketts Ridge Road. To receive and discuss an application to install a new septic system within the regulated area.

Mr. Lasher was present for the applicant via ZOOM. Site Walk findings were reviewed.

On the motion of W. Perlman and the second of S. Green, the Commission voted unanimously to approve Application #20-15.


D. Pattee reported on the recent passing of Fred Schroeder.

The Selectmen’s budget meeting was attended by D. Pattee and A. Pardee last week.  Additional funds were requested for the open space maintenance budget. The Lonetown Marsh boardwalk replacement was listed as a capital budget item at a projected cost of $35,000.

S.Green noted that a letter was written with the Land Trust re: permission to connect to Saugatuck Trail from Old Mailcoach Road and a response is pending. The 260-foot spur from Turkington Falls to Dan Beard Trail has been blazed and needs signage.

Re: NRVT, Per Mr. Green, there is a new bonding requirement which will be an additional cost of $9,700.

On the motion of T. Miller and the second of W. Perlman, the Commission voted unanimously to adjourn the meeting at 7:56 p.m.
