The Chairman called the meeting to order at 7:35 p.m.

I.  APPROVAL OF MINUTES -Minutes of 5/19/15

-Site Walk Minutes 5/27/15-Oratz/Knapp, 267 Newtown Tpke.

-Site Walk Minutes 5/28/16-Younes, 78 George Hull Hill Rd.

On the motion of W. Perlman and the second of S. Green, the Commission voted to approve the 5/19/15 Meeting Minutes as amended:  Page 2, fourth item under “Chairman’s Report”, change to “The need to provide pre-construction information to homeowners and contractors working in Redding was discussed.” J. Beres abstained.

On the motion of T. Miller and the second of W. Perlman, the Commission voted to approve the 5/27/15 Site Walk Minutes.  W. Hill abstained.

On the motion of W. Perlman and the second of S. Green, the Commission voted to approve the 5/28/15 Site Walk Minutes.  W. Hill abstained.

REGULATORY 

Application #15-04, Steven Younes (owner), Michael Fortuna (agent), 78 George Hull Hill Road. Received 5/19/15. Discussion and possible vote on an application for a tennis court within the regulated area. Site Walk 5/28/15.

No one was present for the applicant.  Site Walk findings were reviewed.

On the motion of W. Perlman and the second of S. Green, the Commission voted unanimously to approve Application #15-04.

Application #15-05, Ruth Oratz and Albert Knapp (owners), Regina O’Brien (agent), 267 Newtown Turnpike. Received 5/19/15. Discussion and possible vote on an application to install a deer fence through wetland area and across the Little River. Site Walk 5/27/15.

R. O’Brien was present for the applicant. D. Pattee noted receipt of a letter from R. O’Brien re: non-navigability of the river and an email from S. Green re: riparian rights. D. Pattee noted the broader federal definition of riparian rights.

Site Walk findings were reviewed.  Various deer-deterrent fencing options were reviewed.  R. O’Brien will submit a revised layout and curtain fence design for Commission review.  Discussion will continue.

III.       CHAIRMAN’S REPORT

Re: potential purchasers of property on Putnam Park Road proposing a level backyard, D. Pattee will request a formal application and proposal in addition to a set of plans.

Trail’s Day hike is scheduled for this weekend, 6/6/15.

T. Miller questioned the use of Round Up in the Community garden.

Per S. Green, the Bobolink count is similar to the count of last year.

D. Pattee noted receipt of Deeds and Easements re: Old Stone Estate. T. Miller will review and discuss at the next meeting.

J. Pemberton’s brown bag lunch is scheduled for 6/3/15.

On the motion of T. Miller and the second of W. Perlman, the Commission voted unanimously to adjourn the meeting at 9:00 p.m.
