The Chairman called the meeting to order at 7:33 p.m.
I. APPROVAL OF MINUTES -Minutes of May 5, 2015 -Site Walk Minutes 5/11/15-B. McGuinness, 36 Chestnut Woods Rd.
On the motion of W. Perlman and the second of T. Miller, the Commission voted unanimously to approve the 5/5/15 Meeting Minutes.
On the motion of W. Perlman and the second of T. Miller, the Commission voted unanimously to approve the 5/11/15 Site Walk Minutes as amended.
II. REGULATORY
Application #15-03, Brian J. McGuinness (owner), 36 Chestnut Woods Road. Received 5/5/15. Discussion and possible vote on an application for construction of a new barn, driveway, well and septic and new pool house within the regulated area. Site Walk 5/11/15.
Mazzucco and Brian McGuinness were present. Site Walk findings were reviewed. The presence of an installed gate on Connecticut Audubon Society land was noted. The Audubon Society will be notified and will have the authority to determine if the gate should be removed.
On the motion of W. Perlman and the second of T. Miller, the Commission voted unanimously to approve Application #15-03.
Application #15-04, Steven Younes (owner), Michael Fortuna (agent), 78 George Hull Hill Road. To receive and discuss an application for a tennis court within the regulated area.
M. Fortuna was present for the applicant. The proposed plan was displayed and reviewed.
A Site Walk is scheduled for Thurs., 5/28/15 at 5:30 p.m. Mr. Fortuna was requested to stake the four corners of the proposed tennis court and add the silt fence and stockpile locations to the map.
Application #15-05, Ruth Oratz and Albert Knapp (owners), Regina O’Brien (agent), 267 Newtown Turnpike. To receive and discuss an application to install a deer fence through wetland area across the Little River.
Regina O’Brien was present for the applicant. The site plan was displayed and reviewed in detail.
A Site Walk is scheduled for Thurs., 5/28/15 6:00 p.m.
III. CHAIRMAN’S REPORT
Aimee Pardee forwarded an application from Zoning for a storage barn at JBHS.
D. Pattee and S. Green reported on their observations re: trail maintenance and barberry removal process on Halo Trail.
S. Robinson reported on ongoing efforts re: Georgetown cleanup.
The need to provide pre-construction information to contractors working in Redding was discussed. Samples from other towns will be reviewed.
S. Green and J. McLeran inspected Saugatuck Falls fields re: mowing. Flags were relocated.
Registration for Trails Day is underway.
On the motion of T. Miller and the second of W. Perlman, the Commission voted unanimously to adjourn the meeting at 9:15 p.m.
