Minutes

Present: David Pattee, Chairman; Susan Robinson; William Hill; Stuart Green; Joseph Beres; Wallace Perlman.
Absent: Tina Miller

The Chairman called the meeting to order at 7:35 p.m.

I.  APPROVAL OF MINUTES -Meeting of April 5, 2016

On the motion S. Green and the second of W. Perlman, the Commission voted to approve the 4/5/16 Meeting Minutes.  W. Hill abstained.

II.  REGULATORY

Application #16-03, Michael and Barbara Nelson, 15 Peaceable Street. To receive and discuss an application to construct a two-story, two-car garage within the regulated area.

M. Nelson was present. The proposal was reviewed and a site inspection is scheduled for Fri., 4/22/16 at 5:00 p.m. D. Pattee requested placement of stakes at the four corners of the proposed garage location.

III. CHAIRMAN’S REPORT

Trail signs crafted by A. Pardee were displayed.  The Commission commended Ms. Pardee for donating her time and craftsmanship.

S. Green reported on the upcoming joint press release from the Aspetuck and Redding Land Trusts re: guidelines on enjoying the trails with dogs.

D. tee attended J. Pemberton’s brown bag lunch last week. Wording on deeds and contracts is being finalized re: Biehn property and was expected to be complete by 4/15/16.

S. Robinson discussed the presence of Didymo (Rock Snot) in CT rivers.
S. Green discussed the possible posting of Open Space Regulations at trailheads with J. McLeran.

The Trails party is Sun., 4/24/16, 4:00 p.m. at the Old Town House.

On the motion of S. Robinson and the second of W. Perlman, the Commission voted unanimously to adjourn the meeting at 8:10 p.m.
