The Chairman called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m.
I. APPROVAL OF MINUTES – Minutes of 7/15/14
Site Walk Minutes – 7/22/14

On the motion of J. Ross and the second of W. Hill, the Commission voted to approve the 7/15/14 Meeting Minutes. J. Beres abstained.
On the motion of S. Green and the second of J. Ross, the Commission voted to approve the 7/22/14 Site Walk Minutes. W. Hill abstained.
Application #14-10, New Pond Foundation (owner), Ann Taylor, Executive Director, 101 Marchant Road. Received 7/15/14. Discussion and possible vote on an application to replace the two rotting boardwalk sub-structures on a walking trail behind the marsh within the regulated area. Project prepared by Trevor C. Furrer for his Eagle Scout Project. Site Walk 7/22/14.
Trevor Furrer was present along with Mike Murray from New Pond Farm. Site Walk findings were reviewed and T. Furrer reviewed proposal details.
On the motion of S. Green and the second of J. Ross, the Commission voted unanimously to approve Application #14-10.
Application #14-11, Town of Redding (owner), Julia Pemberton, First Selectman (agent), 100 feet East of the intersection with Poverty Hollow Road. To receive and discuss an application for replacement of the Stepney Road Bridge over the Aspetuck River.
J. Pemberton was present in addition to Dennis Garceau from WMC Consulting Engineers.
Mr. Garceau reviewed the proposal in detail accompanied by wetland impact plan drawings and additional maps and drawings.
A Site Walk is scheduled for Sun., 8/10/14 at 9:00 a.m.
Application/Violation #12-02V, Ms. Pamela Davis (owner), Peter Davis, (agent), 724 Redding Road. Earthmoving and disposition of woodchips, split wood, cut logs and branches in and around wetland soils to establish property line (border) from wetlands. Discussion 7/1/14.
Discussion tabled pending attendance by Mr. Davis or receipt of new information.
III. CHAIRMAN’S REPORT
D. Pattee noted new Wi-Fi capability at the Old Town House.
Town GIS mapping now includes property owner names. Inclusion of archaeological information is being considered.
D. Pattee noted that J. Ross and Susan Robinson have been weeding at Gilbert-Miller Park. Removal of possible toxic waste receptacle was discussed.
S. Green has received recoated trail marker signs that will be tested at Limekiln Natural Area.
Possible Eagle Scout project was discussed re: Dayton Road. The use of sharing trail equipment was reviewed and only non-power equipment will be shared if needed.
An update on the sale of the Biehn property is expected at the end of September.
On the motion of J. Beres and the second of W. Hill, the Commission voted unanimously to adjourn the meeting at 8:45 p.m.
