The Chairman called the meeting to order at 7:32 p.m.
I. APPROVAL OF MINUTES -Minutes of July 5, 2016; Site Inspection Minutes July 11, 2016 – M/M Mark Doyle, 473 Newtown Turnpike
On the motion of T. Miller and the second of S. Green, the Commission voted unanimously to approve the 7/5/16 Meeting Minutes.
On the motion of T. Miller and the second of W. Hill, the Commission voted to approve the 7/11/16 Site Inspection Minutes. S. Green abstained.
II. REGULATORY.
Application/Violation #16-04, Michael and Louise Wagner, 3 Redcoat Lane. Received 6/7/16. Discussion and possible vote on an application to remove invasives, dead brush, and litter. Replace with healthy grasses appropriate to the site within the regulated area. Discussion 6/21/16. Site Walk 6/27/16. Discussion 7/5/16.
No one was present for the applicant. Discussion tabled pending receipt of new information or attendance by applicant.
Application #16-08, Mark and Trish Doyle, 473 Newtown Turnpike. Received 7/5/16. Discussion and possible vote on an application for construction of a driveway and installation of drains within an upland review area for construction of a single-family dwelling within the regulated area. Site Walk 7/11/16.
T. Quinn of Peak Engineering was present for the applicant. Site Walk findings were reviewed.
A new map inclusive of construction sequence, stockpile location and silt fence location was displayed and reviewed.
On the motion of T. Miller and the second of S. Robinson, the Commission voted unanimously to approve Application #16-08.
Application #16-09, Cindy and Brian Meehl (owners), DiVesta Civil Engineering Associates, Inc., (agent), 38 Glen Hill Road. To receive and discuss an application for an addition to an existing residence and relocate garage, driveway with associated work within the regulated area.
Mr. DiVesta was present along with the architect. The site plan was displayed and the proposal was reviewed in detail.
A site walk is scheduled for Mon., 7/25/16 at 5:30 p.m.
III. CONSERVATION MATTER
Redding Land Trust presentation and discussion on set-aside easements. Discussion 7/5/16.
The Commissioners reviewed the proposal and discussed the need for an information piece for the public re: scenic easements.
The Land Trust will be notified that discussion and further questions will continue at the next meeting.
IV. CHAIRMAN’S REPORT
S. Robinson noted the presence of black swallow-wort on various roadsides. A letter will be written to J. Pemberton and J. Hanson requesting immediate cutting on Old Redding and Seventy Acres Road. A comprehensive list of roads needing cutting will be submitted at a later date.
S. Green updated the Commission on mowing status on the Brinckerhoff and Sandy field locations.
On the motion of T. Miller and the second of S. Robinson, the Commission voted unanimously to adjourn the meeting at 8:20 p.m.
