MINUTES
Tuesday, December 20, 2016
7:30 p.m. – Old Town House

Present: David Pattee, Chairman; Susan Robinson; William Hill; Stuart Green; Tina Miller; Wallace Perlman

The Chairman called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m.

I. APPROVAL OF MINUTES -Minutes of December 6, 2016;
Site Inspection Minutes, December 10, 2016

On the motion of W. Perlman and the second of S. Green, the Commission voted unanimously to approve the 12/6/16 Meeting Minutes as amended: Page 2, 10th item under “Chairman’s Report”, change to “Tina Miller will be the contact on behalf of the Commission to pursue naming a trail for Jere and Jane Ross.”; 11th item under “Chairman’s Report”, change to “Sean McNamara is writing the Open Space Management Plan for the Biehn property.”

On the motion of T. Miller and the second of W. Perlman, the Commission voted to approve the 12/10/16 Site Inspection Minutes. W. Hill abstained.

II. REGULATORY
Application #16-12, Bonnie Ensor (owner), Harding Builders (Bill Harding, agent), 87 Old Stagecoach Road. Received 12/6/16. Discussion and possible vote on an application for a septic repair within 82’ +/- of a regulated area. Site Walk 12/10/16.

Mr. Harding was present. Site Walk findings were reviewed. Mr. Harding confirmed that three large Ash trees will be cut down.

On the motion of W. Perlman and the second of T. Miller, the Commission voted unanimously to approve Application #16-12.

IV. CHAIRMAN’S REPORT
Stuart Green forwarded an email re: groups of dogs being walked on trails. The Commission discussed the implications of unleashed dogs on the trails. Mr. Green will forward the email to W. Perlman for his further review. The current rules will be posted on the Town website.

Information on the 2017 Trails Day has been received from CFPA. D. Pattee noted that the state of CT has more on-trail hikes on Trails Day than in any other state.

Susan Robinson reported that the unmanaged garbage can in Georgetown has been removed and replaced by a snowman.

On the motion of T. Miller and the second of S. Green, the Commission voted unanimously to adjourn the meeting at 8:05 p.m.
