The passing of the motion included amendments to the motion and a thorough Board discussion. C. Hocker explained he believes the ultimate decision should be up to the Superintendent and the Board should act as an advisory to the Superintendent. This would leave it to be a collaborative effort between all Boards and the Superintendent. D.Wible agreed with this. M. D’Agostino explained that the Boards have always respected and collaborated with the Superintendent in making district decisions and he anticipates the same for this Committee. Dr. Harrison explained that he thinks the local applicant pool would be strong and that it does not require a Search Consultant. C. Parkin asked the Boards if anyone objected to Dr. Harrison posting the job, and seeing none, asked Dr. Harrison to proceed. C. Parkin also asked any Boards members interested in serving on the committee to reach out to their Chairs.
