CALL TO ORDER
C. Parkin called the Redding Board of Education Regular meeting to order at 7:01 p.m.
J. Stinson called the Easton Board of Education Regular meeting to order at 7:02 p.m.
T. Johnston called the Redding Board of Education Regular meeting to order at 7:02 p.m.
DISCUSSION AND POSSIBLE ACTION: SHORT TERM CONTRACT AUTHORIZATION FOR DIRECTOR OF FINANCE AND OPERATIONS
C. Parkin explained the need for the Superintendent recommended, short-term contract for the Director of Finance and Operations.
Discussion included the topics of timing, intent, candidates, personnel search, meeting efficiency and schedule.
Motion: move that the Easton Board of Education approve the recommendation of the Superintendent that he select and hire an interim Director of Finance and Operations for an initial term not to exceed 90 days at a cost not to exceed 25% of the amount budgeted for the role for Fiscal Year 2022 or otherwise contract for the provision of necessary services to carry out the duties of the director. (Hicks, Wible.) 3-1, Parker dissented.
Motion: move that the Redding Board of Education approve the recommendation of the Superintendent that he select and hire an interim Director of Finance and Operations for an initial term not to exceed 90 days at a cost not to exceed 25% of the amount budgeted for the role for Fiscal Year 2022 or otherwise contract for the provision of necessary services to carry out the duties of the director. (Hoffman, Reilly.) 4-0, Approved. Unanimous.

Motion: move that the Region 9 Board of Education be adjourned. (D’Agostino, O’Brien) Unanimous consent.
