OTHER BUSINESS
No other business from the Board
Ms. Greenspan asked, “at the annual meeting the taxing district budget was approved for over $1.9 million dollars. Where do those finds come from?” President Lynch said the taxing district has the authority to levy taxes and has levied taxes on the sole property owner to meet its various financial obligations. Liens have been placed on the GLDC properties to reflect unpaid taxes. The GSTD liens are part of the pending litigation to resolve the Town foreclosure. There have been some preliminary discussions of creating a TIF to manage the resolution – but that will require a vote by the registered voters in the Town to approve.
Ms. Greenspan also asked who were the Board members. President Chris Lynch (appointed by GLDC), Vice President (open), Frank Taylor (Redding Town representative) District Clerk and Secretary, Scott Harrison and Joe Schmitz who are also partners in GLDC.
ADJOURNMENT
Motion: move that the meeting be adjourned. Schmitz/Taylor. Approved. Unanimous.
The meeting adjourned at 11:19 am.
