MINUTES OF MEETING
Thursday, October 19, 2017
Old Town House

Present: Chairman Ray D’Angelo, Secretary Anda Cumings, alternate Jean Taylor and alternate Sherry Karraker, seated for Matt Lecher. Also present: owner Samuel Nickerson (member 8 Main Street LLC), and his project architect.

Chairman Ray D’Angelo calls the meeting to order at 7:35PM.

I. Minutes of Special Meeting, July 17, 2017: Anda Cumings reads the minutes of the last meeting. Anda Cumings motions to accept the minutes of the meeting of July 17, 2017 as posted. Seconded by Ray D’Angelo, all vote in favor.

II. Demolition Application 8 Main St. Georgetown: This property is well known as the site of the former Georgetown Saloon, originally built in 1900. Significant alterations have been made to the structure over the years. The owner Mr. Nickerson and his architect present the plans for remodeling and point out major damage to walls and flooring that will require complete rebuilding for the structure to be usable. Sherry Karraker notes that the property is not listed on the Connecticut State Register of Historic Places, nor is it listed in Stuart Reeve’s inventory of Redding historic buildings. The structure has also undergone so many changes over the decades that it is no longer representative of any historic or unique architectural style. Sherry Karraker motions that the property on 8 Main Street not be held subject to the 180 Demolition delay. Anda Cumings seconds the motion. Motion passes unanimously.

III. General discussion. There is no Chairman’s report. All present favor an administrative meeting to be held.

Ray D’Angelo motions to adjourn. Sherry Karraker seconds.

Meeting adjourns 8:10PM
