MEETING MINUTES
Thursday, June 21, 2018
Old Town House
PRESENT: Chairman Ray D’Angelo, Vice Chairman Matt Lecher, Secretary Anda Cumings, Alternate Sherry Karraker.
Chairman Ray D’Angelo calls the meeting to order at 7:45PM. It is noted that at the last meeting, we had agreed to begin our meetings at 7:00PM. This detail had been forgotten by all present. This is discussed later under Agenda item II, Administrative Concerns.
I. Minutes of Last Meeting, March 1, 2018.
Chairman Ray D’Angelo allows all present a moment to reread the minutes of the last meeting held on March 1, 2018. Ray notes that this was the last meeting to be attended by the late Charlie Couch, a longtime dedicated Town historian and frequent contributor to our committee work. Matt Lecher motions that the minutes be accepted as submitted, seconded by Ray D’Angleo. All present vote in favor.
II. Administrative Concerns.
Ray D’angelo opens a discussion regarding the HRC meeting schedule. It had been brought up by the Town Clerk Michelle Grande that perhaps it is easier for all involved to revert back to having only Special Meetings or perhaps only one scheduled meeting per month. Ray D’Angelo points out that we had voted on March 1st to have our regular meetings begin at 7 PM. After a brief discussion, it is agreed to leave the current scheduled meetings as is but to adhere to the earlier start time. Anda Cumings is to submit an updated calendar to Michelle with 7 PM start times.
III. Chairman’s Report.
Ray D’Angelo reads from a letter from the CT Trust stating that it would like to be copied on every property that comes up for our discussion. It is uncertain what they would do with this information, although it is possible that they could be of assistance by providing information and other resources. Ray will clarify with them. The Trust does not, to his knowledge, have any oversight authority in regards to the HRC.
Matt Lecher motions to adjourn the meeting, seconded by Anda Cumings. The meeting is adjourned at 8:45 p.m.
