MINUTES OF SITE VISIT
Tuesday, June 21, 2016
7:00 PM
436 (a.k.a.432) Redding Road, Redding, CT
Present: Chairman Ray D’Angelo, Vice Chairman Matt Lecher, Secretary Anda Cumings, alternate Sherry Karraker, alternate Jean Taylor, historian Charley Couch and Aquarian police officer Captain R. A. Cedergren.
The Site Visit began as scheduled. All present viewed the house and yard from the outside. The lot was significantly overgrown, and the house boarded shut. Captain Cedergren commented that there have been a number of instances of vandalism and unauthorized use of the house, as it is unoccupied and dilapidated, and forced entry is easily achieved. Charley Couch viewed the interior of the house with Captain Cedergren, Charley noted several historical items and fixtures in the house that could possibly be reclaimed, with the permission of the owner. He will submit photos and a report to the Committee. A brief discussion of the architectural style of the house, more typical of a 19th century town dwelling, ensued.
Chairman Ray D’Angelo will instruct the Secretary to post a new meeting as soon as he has Charley’s report.
No motions were made or votes taken at this meeting.
Chairman Ray D’Angelo adjourned the visit at approximately 7:30PM.
