Special Meeting Minutes
Present: Pete Graziano, Lorcan O’Conner, Mary Lou Carlson, Kevin Jones (Chair), Scott Palmer, Mitch Edwards, Selectman O’Donnell, Rob Blick, Richard Bloom (property owner)
CALL TO ORDER
Mr. called the meeting to order at 6:15pm.
PROPERTY WALK-THROUGH AT 27 STARRS RIDGE ROAD
• The Commission received a walk-through tour by the property owner. The property was host to a children’s summer camp for many years. The camp is no longer in operation.
• Included on the property is a large blacktop area, a tent-covered pavilion and stage area, open field areas, zip line station, nature-study area, multiple playgrounds, an archery area, and three separate pools of varying sizes and depths.
• In addition the property has a house with garage, which was used as a residence, as well as an indoor area for camp operations. A pool house that includes girls and boys changing rooms, pool equipment storage, a camp office and nurse’s station. There are also several storage sheds included on the property.
• Overall the property encompasses 36 acres, with 10 total acres of developed land.
• The owner wishes to keep two acres of property.
• The Commission was asked by Mr. Jones to compile questions for Mr. Bloom and submit them at the October meeting.
