Meeting Minutes
Present: Kevin Jones (Chair), Pete Graziano, Tami O’Connor, MaryLou Carlson
CALL TO ORDER
Mr. Jones called the meeting to order at 7:31 pm.
REVIEW OF DIRECTOR’S REPORT
Mr. Blick reviewed his report:
– Basketball season is complete for grades 3-8, the High School league will end this week. The HS league had a full 8 teams.
– The tennis nets are being substituted out today. The worn nets are sent to Stadium Systems to be refurbished.
– P&R had a great conversation with RES and they were very accommodating for our summer needs.
– Camps staff have been contacted about returning this summer. We may need to advertise for lifeguard staff soon. Camping, birthday and special event requests at Topstone have begun to come in.
– The RES International Festival will use RCC for the first time this year.
– We have met with the Frog Frolic coordinator and have coordinated with the library on preschool reading days and youth group activities.
– We have organized the sport groups requests at all town and school athletic facilities. The grass fields generally open up between April 5 and April 15, depending on weather.
– The concert series schedule is now complete and a letter will be going out soon to solicit donations. In addition to the Concerts on the Green, we have a few Summer Acoustic Series shows booked at Topstone, and a few more in the works.
– The ice rink was removed over the weekend after a successful winter season.
LETTERS OR CORRESPONDENCE
Resident Angela Caes sent an email concerned about replacing the tennis courts and suggested putting more money to improving the RES basketball courts.

DISCUSSION OF PREVIOUS BUSINESS
Ms. O’Connor will fill out an ARPA application for funding to help with Pickleball/Tennis court replacement. Mrs. Carlson will look at the Topstone playground area as we attempt to see what to bring into that area to replace the playground which had to be removed.
ADDITIONAL NEW BUSINESS OR INITIATIVES
Concerning the Walking Path at RCC – Mrs. Carlson will contact the Heritage Center to find 2-3 people to form a group to begin planning what items we may want as part of the project.
