AGENDA: Planning Commission Site Walk

RECEIVED 12/06/2017 2:50pm

MINUTES OF SITE WALK
42 Wayside Lane Subdivision Application
Friday, December 1, 2017
42 Wayside Lane
8:00 AM

In attendance: Chairman Toby Welles, Commissioners Anda Cumings, Claire Matzke, Jim Bacon, archeologists Stuart Reeve and Ernie Wiegand, engineer for the applicant Mike Mazzucco, and Mr. Cartoun representing the applicant (Paula Cartoun Trust).

All present walked the property, led by engineer Mike Mazzucco who explained the proposed project and related disturbance areas for the house, driveway and septic. The property at this time has a historic home at the front, with a separate garage and cabin toward the back. Mr. Cartoun’s daughter resides at this house. The proposed new house would be built behind the existing house. The driveway for the new house was discussed, both in terms of where it is located on the building lot and where it opens onto Wayside Lane. The site lines in particular were examined at length with Mike Mazzucco, who will continue to look at how these can be optimized with minimal disturbance to the stone walls. Wayside Lane is not only a designated Scenic Road subject to that ordinance, but also the driveway site lines face challenges due to the winding and hilly nature of the road.

No votes were taken or other business conducted at this meeting.

The site walk concluded at approximately 9AM.
