Special Meeting
Tuesday, October 30, 2018
6:30 p.m. – Old Town House
23 Cross Highway, Redding
Present: Toby Welles, Chairman; Commissioner Chuck Cilo; Commissioner Anda Cumings; Commissioner Nancy King; Alternate James Bacon; Alternate Regina O’Brien.
Also present: Aimee Pardee, Land Use Director
John Hayes, Town Planning Consultant (7:10)
The Chairman called the meeting to order at 6:35 p.m.
J. Bacon was seated for Steve Gagnon.
I. ADMINISTRATIVE
Town Plan of Conservation & Development 2018. Recommendations to be submitted to the office by email Planning@townofreddingct.org for John Hayes.
The Commission discussed the current status of the Town Plan of Conservation & Development.
T. Welles noted that he had done a new edit of Chapters 8, 9, and 10. He suggested that all members of the commission do a final edit of the chapters that they were assigned and requested that the final revisions be uploaded to Dropbox by Friday.
J. Hayes discussed the data that he is accumulating for the report noting that he had visited the Building Department for the number of new home starts by year. He stated that the maps being done by WestCOG are complete. Mr. Welles suggested that he and Mr. Hayes meet at the end of the week to incorporate the data into the chapter drafts.
On the motion of J. Bacon, the Commission voted unanimously to adjourn the meeting at 7:30 p.m.
