CALL TO ORDER
C. Parkin called the meeting to order at 5:01 p.m.
DISCUSSION AND POSSIBLE ACTION: CHANGE IN AUTHORIZED SIGNER OF THE ED-099 AGREEMENT FOR THE CHILD NUTRITION PROGRAM
C. Parkin explained the need to update the signer for the Child Nutrition Program.
MOTION: move that the Redding Board of Education approve a change to the authorized signer of the ED-099 Agreement for Child Nutrition Program to Dr. Thomas McMorran, Interim Superintendent, effective immediately. Hoffman, Whaley. Unanimous, 6-0 (Oulton was unable to communicate at the time of voting.)
DISCUSSION AND POSSIBLE ACTION: FORMATION OF PERSONNEL SEARCH COMMITTEE FOR RES PRINCIPAL
C. Parkin explained the Natalie Hammond had resigned as the Principal of RES and suggested how the Board might proceed in filling the vacancy.
MOTION: move that the Redding Board of Education establish a RES Principal Personnel Search Committee for the purpose of identifying and recommending a candidate for Principal of Redding Elementary School. The committee shall be comprised of the full membership of the Board plus the Superintendent and shall be empowered to design and implement an appropriate hiring process. Hoffman, Reilly. Unanimous, 7-0.
DISCUSSION AND POSSIBLE ACTION: APPOINTMENT OF RES INTERIM PRINCIPAL
Interim Superintendent of Schools, Dr. McMorran thanked Natalie Hammond for her service and explained the work he had done with Vicki Cram to find an interim replacement. The replacement he recommends to the Board is Sharon Weirsman and he provided Sharon’s professional background. Discussion followed and included the topics of the purpose of the Board’s vote in this circumstance, how much notice is required for this type of contract, and if there were any term-length expectations for the interim.
MOTION: move that the Board accept the recommendation of the Superintendent to appoint Sharon Weirsman Interim Principal of Redding Elementary School and authorize the Superintendent to enter into an appropriate agreement subject to the conditions imposed upon Ms. Weirsman by the Teachers Retirement Board. Hocker, Oulton. Unanimous, 7-0.

BOARD MEMBER COMMENT
J. Reilly thanked Vicki Cram for all the work she has been doing to support the district, and emphasized that she is appreciated and a great part of the team.
C. Parkin thanked Natalie Hammond for her service, and thanked Dr. McMorran, Vicki Cram and the members of the Board for the work they are doing.
