MINUTES

MEMBERS PRESENT:  JULIA PEMBERTON, SEAN MCKENNEY, SEAN MORRIS, AMY ALCOTT,

ALSO PRESENT: MATT CASSAVECHIA, STEVE SCHNELL, DOUG FUCHS, SCOTT SANFORD

THE MEETING WAS CALLED TO ORDER AT 17:24

THERE WERE NO MINUTES FROM THE LAST MEETING

UNFINISHED BUSINESS:
ANY UNFINISHED DISCUSSION FROM PRIOR RPA MEETING WILL BE BROUGHT UP AT THE FUTURE CHIEF’S MEETING

NEW BUSINESS:
SEAN MORRIS BROUGHT ATTENTION TO THE AN ISSUE WITH SPOTTED DOG.  THE DISPATCH CENTER HAS SENT OUT THE WRONG ADDRESS FOR SOME GEORGETOWN CALLS.  STEVE SCHNELL HAS NOT HEARD OF THE ISSUE.  HE SUGGESTS A SCREEN SHOT OF THE MISINFORMATION NEXT TIME IT HAPPENS, AND HE WILL ADDRESS IT AT THAT TIME.

JULIA PEMBERTON HAD CONTACT WITH DANBURY AMBULANCE.  THEY WOULD LIKE TO BID FOR THE RFP WHICH WILL BE ISSUED BY MATT KNICKERBOCKER.  BETHEL IS NOT SURE WHICH DIRECTION TO GO IN.  THE REDDING/ BETHEL 5 YEAR CONTRACT WITH DANBURY HOSPITAL WILL BE UP IN 6 MONTHS.

IN 2008, REDDING MADE THE DECISION TO SHARE RESOURCES WITH BETHEL. AT THE TIME, IT WAS COST EFFECTIVE FOR THE TOWN OF REDDING.  IN 2009, AN RFP WAS ISSUED AND DANBURY AMBULANCE BID ON THE CONTRACT THEN.

GENERAL CONSIDERATIONS INCLUDE THAT ESSENTIALLY BETHEL HAS TWO PARAMEDICS, ONE PAID FOR BY REDDING.

REDDING MAY BE ALLOWED TO DEFER RENEWAL OF THE CONTRACT OR RENEW ON A SHORT TERM BASIS.

THERE WAS A BRIEF DISCUSSION REGARDING RPA HISTORY

OPEN FORUM:
GEORGETOWN HAS NO PROBLEMS WITH THE DANBURY MEDIC AT THIS TIME

MOTION TO ADJOURN 17:37
