Redding Update

7.2.20

Reopening Redding

Redding will be following a three phase reopening plan.

Town buildings are currently in the first phase where all buildings are closed to the public. All departments are available to answer questions and provide any information needed. The Transfer Station is open; the Tax collector has a walk up window, and the Town Clerk, by appointment only, has been setting up outdoor meetings for business that can’t be done by telephone or email.

We will progress into the second phase if the COVID-19 numbers decline. This includes opening to the public by appointment only. The Heritage Center and will remain closed to visitors. At this time no date for transitioning into the second phase has been set.

If favorable COVID-19 public health data continues, then for the third phase municipal buildings will open to the public for business as usual, no appointments required.

We Are Still in a Pandemic

We are reminded by the recent travel advisory posted by the governor https://portal.ct.gov/Coronavirus/Covid-19-Knowledge-Base/Travel-In-or-Out-of-CT and the concern with rising numbers in other states that COVID-19 is still very much an issue and that we are still in a pandemic. Taking all precautions must be continued.
